I am going to start this thing out with my top 3 reason I love being a marine wife and top 3 why I hate it.
Top 3 reason I love being a marine wife

#3 Seeing my hubby in some sort of uniform everyday

#2 The way I feel knowing my husband is making a difference in this world

#1 All the wonderful  friends I have made all over the world

Top 3 reasons I hate being a marine wife

#3 Moving (and it's usually at the worst time)

#2 Being so far away from family when I need them the most

#1 DEPLOYMENTS

Love:
1. Knowing zach is fighting for his family and country.
2. The way his butt looks in a flightsuit.. lol
3. He takes time to appreciate the non military parts of our life.

Hate:
1. Being away from him as often as I have to.
2. Taking care of the munchkins alone.
3. The fact that I'm now a marine wife instead of a marine.

I have to agre with you! Expect the butt in a flightsuit, my hubs doesn't wear those haha.

Other than your reasons - I love the experience of finding new places and living somewhere different every couple of years.

On the other hand, I hate saying goodbye to friends that often and sometimes, I just want to settle down!

My Top 3, let's see....
The Good:

the financial stability and amazing healthcare

the pride I see in my children's eyes when they talk about their Dad.

the fact that the Star Spangled Banner still, and always will, bring tears to my eyes.

THe bad:

deployments

the dangerous locations and jobs

moving the kids in the middle of a school year.

I like to go to a first post. It's fun to see possibly the what or why a blog was started. So nice to meet you :o)

My hubby is retired now, but I grew up military and then married military...so first moving every 2 years as a kid and then with my hubby, every 3 years.

The Great things of Military life:
1. Love my hubby in uniform too :o)
2. Love every place we have been stationed and the opportunity to see places and experiences that otherwise would not have been possible.
3. Love the friends along the way...

The Not-so-great things...
1. The packing up (...but I don't mind the unpacking and setting up into a new home).
2. Being far from family (I agree with you!)
3. Deployments ( & agree with you on this too!!!)

Blessings & Aloha!
